I work on transformation through the how—on the forms, rules, and basic principles of action. To do this, I connect theory and practice: more than 25 years of accompanying project, organizational, and democracy development—grounded in process theory.
- Attitude: Transformation is possible. What matters is the how—so that potential can unfold. The image behind this: a caterpillar becomes a butterfly—co-creativity comes to life.
- What I stand for: I provide orientation (process coaching, accompanying process validation). I build competencies (in-house trainings, tools/tool development).
- How I work: Grounded in process theory—with the Meta-Matching Method and toolshops. Not prescribing content, but strengthening the how: leadership begins with one’s own way of working; implementation remains in-house.
- Two pillars: Academy for Learning Democracy: democracy development, teaching, and open materials (including the Toolbook commissioned by the Federal Environment Agency). ReformAgentur / Transformationsgestalter: coaching, validation, trainings, and tailor-made tools for those responsible in projects, organizations, and administrations.
- Roots & Profile: Grew up in Latin America—shaped early on by change and acceleration. Process researcher and expert: studied in Heidelberg/Konstanz; Research Fellow (Boston/Harvard); Fellow at ZiF Bielefeld; PhD (Dr. rer. pol., cum laude) in Witten/Herdecke.
- Teaching & Program Development: University of Tübingen and CVJM University Kassel (Transformation Studies). Co-developer, among others, of the Intersectoral School of Governance (DHBW), the StadtmacherAkademie (vhw), and the School of Participation.
- Source: I believe in God. This gives me guidance and confidence for responsible transformation.
In short: Orientation + competencies. Turning “daring transformation” into being able to transform.
